The advancements of the SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY dragon dance team lies in the hands of Sifu Michael Ek Eng Guan, a Kung Fu brother of Sifu Frank Greinacher. In Asia he is known as an authority in dragon dance and leads several successful teams.
He teaches in Singapore and primarily one of the most famous Malaysian dragon dance teams, the YAHYA AWAL DRAGON DANCE TROUPE. This team was successful in many world- and international championships.
Due to the fact, that Sifu Michael Ek Eng Guan had taught the German team at many mutual visits, he appointed it to a subsidary team of the YAHYA AWAL DRAGON DANCE TROUPE in 1999.
Since then, Alexander Tschernjawski leads the training of the YAHYA AWAL DRAGON DANCE TROUPE GERMANY. He was able to set up an adult- and a children dragon dance team. Especially for the children team, a smaller and lighter dragon was procured.
Both teams could show their ability in many spectaculous demonstrations.
