On November 15th, 2008 the SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY ASSN. in cooperation with the subsidiary schools GERMAN ZHOU JIA KUNG FU ASSN. (Haßlinghausen) and ZHOU GUAN KUNG FU CENTER (Schwelm) as well as the TRADITIONAL KUNG FU GERMANY ASSN. (TKV) presented the 3rd German Championship in Traditional Lion- and Dragon Dance.

2nd place: The team of the Nia Kwang Ying Yong Tang, Siegen
3rd place: The team of the German Zhou Jia Kung Fu Assn., Haßlinghausen

On Sunday, 02.11.2008, the students of the Kung Fu schools Gevelsberg, Haßlinghausen and Schwelm successfully took their coloured belt's exams in coloured. Read more here. Also the Westfalenpost dd. 11.11.2008 and the Westfälische Rundschau dd. 19.11.2008 reported.
From October 10th to 17th, 2008 prominent Kung Fu family members visited the SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY ASSN. in Gevelsberg, Germany: Master Jacky Mak from San Francisco, USA, and Master Ho Fung Lok from Hong Kong came to visit Sifu Frank Greinacher in order to pursue the regular exchange of knowledge which they are doing for long time already. On Saturday, October 11th, 2008 the "3rd European Kuoshu Cup" took place in Neu-Ulm, Germany. The German Zhou Jia schools Gevelsberg (together with the Xin Ying Taijiquan Training Centre Germany), Haßlinghausen and Schwelm as well as the one from Poland successfully participated with 42 students. Following the "11th International German Championship in Traditional Kung Fu 2008" in Gevelsberg, Germany a rare Taijiquan seminar was held. Master Victor Chong of Singapore instructed Sifu Sherry Greinacher and a few of her students in the yet quite unknown Chan Men style, also known as Buddhist Taiji. Read and see more here.
On Saturday, May 17th, 2008 the 11th International German Championship in Traditional Kung Fu took place in Gevelsberg. We were happy to welcome about 350 participants of 45 different schools from Germany and other European countries.
We wish to express our gratitude to all helpers, referees and organisations who supported this event physically and financially, and of course, we thank all participants for the fair and harmonic athmoshpere during the tournament.
We are looking forward to seeing you again next year!

On 19.01.2008 a rare occasion took place: Four martial artists of the Shaolin Hung Choy school were appointed "Sifu". Read more here.
In the "1st Traditional Wu Shu Invitational Championship" in Taijyuan Shanxi, China Sifu Sherry Greinacher won the gold medal in the Taijiquan category "42 step competition form".
