


The SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY school is a registered association with its headquarter in Gevelsberg, Germany. The association dedicates its work to the dissemination of the Chinese culture, especially the Chinese martial arts. In this school the Hung Choy (Zhou Jia Quan) Kung Fu style is taught as well as traditional lion dance, dragon dance and Taijiquan. At this time the SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY ASSOCIATION counts about 300 active members wherefore it is one of the bigger sport-clubs in Gevelsberg, Germany.
In cooperation with Ralf Ziegler, Sifu Frank Greinacher opened the first Zhou Jia school in 1979 in Gevelsberg.
In 1980 Frank Greinacher began to teach Zhou Jia Quan at a sports club in Siegen. At the advice of his Jiao Lian (instructor) he used the name SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY for the school.
In 1983 the first school with the name NIA KWANG PUGILISTIC ASSOCIATION was initiated in Witten, which changed its residence to Hasslinghausen / Spockhövel, Germany, two years later. This school still exists as a branch-office of the Shaolin Hung Choy Association, which has its headquarter in Gevelsberg since 1994.
In December 1999 the SHAOLIN HUNG CHOY ASSOCIATION moved to a bigger gym within the city of Gevelsberg.
Since June 2003 the association resides in an even bigger and spacious gym in the Gevelsberg.
